Balnahard Farmhouse

Isle of Colonsay

Balnahard is a traditional 1860's West Highland Farmhouse, set in it's own fenced garden, 2.5miles from the public road and surrounded by 1200 acres of conservation farmland.  There are numerous walks from the house with miles of coastline to explore, hills to climb and a rich array of bird and plant life to observe.

The house sleeps 10 people, but this should not put off smaller parties.  Care has been taken to keep the interior homely,  comfortable & functional for both small and large groups.

The accommodation consists of a well-equipped kitchen, with large table for dining, a comfortable sitting room with wood burning stove, utility area with washing machine, and a sunny porch that leads out to the front garden.  There are two double bedrooms, one twin room and a fourth room that sleeps four (twin beds and a set of bunks).  There is a family bathroom, as well as a shower room with washbasin & W.C.

The house is surrounded by garden; at the rear is a lawned area and drying green, whilst at the front there is a shingle seating area, a large lawn, colourful flowerbeds and shrubs.

Prices for Balnahard Farmhouse range from £300.00 to £850.00 per week, dependant on season.  This includes bed linen, gas, electricity, firewood and up to 2 dogs.

Please contact us for exact prices and to discuss your requirements.  During the most popular months of July & August we do have to stick to a Sunday changeover, however at other times of the year we can normally be more flexible, also offering good rates for bookings of more than one week outside of peak times.
