Location and setting
The Lodge is located in a peaceful spot in the centre of the island with commanding views towards Loch Fada. It is quiet and peaceful with no other houses close by. The pub, shop and pier are 2 km away. The Lodge has a large garden with lawns and shrubs and outdoor furniture.
Accommodation
The Lodge consists of a Victorian former gamekeepers house and two traditional stone bothies adjacent to the house. The bothies are particularly rustic with exposed stone walls on the inside. The house is newly refurbished and is extremely comfortable. There are three twin bedrooms upstairs and a 4 bedded dormitory downstairs. There is a shower and toilet in the bathroom upstairs and a separate toilet downstairs. There is also a sitting room with an open fire and a kitchen on the ground floor. The dining bothy has a microwave, 2 cookers, 2 fridges and sinks. It has a solid fuel rayburn and a huge dining table up one end, and a comfortable sitting and games area at the other end. The sleeping bothy has 3 rooms with either 2 or 4 beds. There is a shower and toilet block next door with 2 showers and 2 toilets.
Amenities
There are pushbikes for hire (£5 per day), and also golf clubs, tennis racquets, fishing rods and small rowing boats (through the Fishing Association) for hire. The tennis court at Colonsay House is available free but must be booked in advance. There is a laundrette with coin operated washing machines and dryers located 1 km away at Colonsay House. Colonsay House gardens are open twice a week.
Price
Sleeping Bothy: £12.00 per person per night including linen.
Dormitory: £14.00 per person per night including linen.
Twin rooms: £16 per person per night including linen.

Transport
Transport can be arranged to collect backpackers (or luggage) from the ferry and transport them to the Lodge.
